Jitka Kauerová
is a dynamic and dedicated instructor of Czech. She focuses on teaching Czech to English native speakers. For the purpose of CHP Czech language instruction, she co-authored, together with Dominik Lukeš, a new Czech language textbook. She worked as instructor of Czech for Peace Corps Czech Republic as well as for major international companies and institutions (Citibank, Procter&Gamble, McKensey, Midland Bank, KPMG, British Telecom, Sony, etc.).
Elementary Czech - Semester
The elementary Czech course is focused on the development of the four basic proficiency skills (speaking, writing, listening comprehension, and reading), with emphasis on speaking and listening comprehension in everyday situations. Basic concepts in Czech grammar will be introduced and compared to English.

Advanced Czech
The goal of this course is to learn authentic, communicative Czech, and to improve reading skills and interpretation of Czech texts and literature. It counts on previous experience with the Czech language. Students are assessed based on their work in class, preparation for class and ability to communicate orally. There will also be one comprehensive test and a final essay.
